Principles

What I live by

My current guiding principles. As with all things in life, a work in progress.

  • BuildingI like innovating through building quality software that enhances the human experience. That means features work — and keep working — with every iteration.
  • ConnectingI value relationships with all sorts of people and connecting them with one another. “I gotta guy human.”
  • Continuous improvementYou get a little better or worse each day. Make sure more days push the former.
  • Continuous learningLife is a game of compound interest, and that includes learning (sometimes unlearning) skills and information while forming (sometimes reforming) perspectives.
  • CuriosityAsking good questions and continually exploring new thoughts and perceptions is a superpower.
  • GratitudeThe absolute best way to gain subjective insight on our human experience — and an endless positive feedback loop.
  • GritMy number one strength according to CliftonStrengths is Achiever. I believe it's realized through perseverance and passion for long-term goals.
  • HonestyI value the truth and have a passion for seeking it. Being honest is the only way to be truly present.
  • InnovationCreativity, to me, is connecting two things or ideas in a way never done before.
  • PassionI live all in, and pursue things that fill my cup and give me purpose.
  • SolvingI love creatively solving problems.
